A quote may include assumptions relating to:
Electricity consumption
Roof condition
Roof structure
Roof orientation
Shading
Existing electrical infrastructure
Switchboard condition
Network requirements
Product availability
Installation requirements
Government incentives or rebates
A quote may need to be revised if information provided by the customer is incomplete, inaccurate or changes before installation.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, a quote is valid for the period specified in the quote.
Product availability, manufacturer pricing, freight costs, government incentives and other external factors may change between the date of quotation and installation.
4. Acceptance of a Quote
A customer may accept a quote by signing the relevant proposal, accepting electronically, paying a required deposit or otherwise confirming acceptance in writing.
Once a quote has been accepted, the applicable products and services may be ordered or scheduled.
The final scope of work will be determined by the accepted quote, proposal, installation agreement and any subsequent written variations agreed between the parties.
5. Solar System Design
We design solar systems based on information reasonably available to us, including your electricity consumption, property characteristics and stated energy requirements.
Solar system performance can vary depending on:
Weather conditions
Seasonal changes
Roof orientation
Roof pitch
Shading
Panel temperature

We may recommend products from recognised solar equipment manufacturers.
Product selections may include:
Solar panels
Solar inverters
Hybrid inverters

Hazardous materials
Access restrictions
Dangerous conditions
Existing defects
We may postpone or refuse work where we reasonably believe the site is unsafe or unsuitable.
8. Roof Condition and Structural Suitability
Solar panels and mounting equipment require a suitable roof structure.
We may conduct a visual assessment of the roof and installation area. However, unless specifically included in the scope of work, this does not constitute a comprehensive structural engineering assessment.
The customer is responsible for notifying us of known structural defects or previous roof damage.
If additional structural work is reasonably required before installation, we may recommend that the customer obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional.
Additional work may incur additional costs if it is outside the agreed scope.
9. Electrical Work and Switchboards
Solar installation may require electrical work to existing infrastructure.
Where the existing switchboard, wiring, meter, earthing system or other electrical infrastructure is unsuitable or does not meet applicable requirements, additional work may be required.
Additional electrical work will generally be discussed with the customer before proceeding where reasonably practicable.
Existing electrical faults or defects that were not included in the original scope may result in additional costs.
All electrical work will be carried out in accordance with applicable Australian requirements and relevant standards.
10. Network Connection and Approvals
Solar systems connected to the electricity grid may require approval from the relevant electricity distribution network service provider.
Depending on the Installation Site, this may include organisations such as:
SA Power Networks
Ausgrid
Endeavour Energy
Other applicable electricity network providers
Ur Local Solar may assist with applicable connection applications and related documentation as part of the agreed service.
Network approval is not controlled solely by Ur Local Solar and may be subject to the requirements, processing times and decisions of the relevant network provider.
We do not guarantee that a particular system size, export capacity or connection configuration will be approved by a network provider.
11. Government Rebates, STCs and Incentives
Government incentives, rebates, subsidies and Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) may be available for eligible solar installations.
Eligibility and rebate values depend on factors including:
System size
Installation location

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information required to establish eligibility.
12. Solar Battery Rebates and Incentives
Battery incentives may be available from federal, state or other programs depending on the customer’s location and eligibility.
Eligibility requirements and incentive amounts may change.
Where applicable, Ur Local Solar may assist customers with information about available incentives.
Customers should not rely solely on an estimated rebate when making a purchase decision.
Any incentive is subject to the rules and approval requirements of the relevant government or program administrator.
