A quote may need to be revised if information provided by the customer is incomplete, inaccurate or changes before installation.

Unless otherwise stated in writing, a quote is valid for the period specified in the quote.

Product availability, manufacturer pricing, freight costs, government incentives and other external factors may change between the date of quotation and installation.

        4. Acceptance of a Quote
A customer may accept a quote by signing the relevant proposal, accepting electronically, paying a required deposit or otherwise confirming acceptance in writing.

Once a quote has been accepted, the applicable products and services may be ordered or scheduled.

The final scope of work will be determined by the accepted quote, proposal, installation agreement and any subsequent written variations agreed between the parties.

        5. Solar System Design
We design solar systems based on information reasonably available to us, including your electricity consumption, property characteristics and stated energy requirements.

Solar system performance can vary depending on:

We may postpone or refuse work where we reasonably believe the site is unsafe or unsuitable.

        8. Roof Condition and Structural Suitability
Solar panels and mounting equipment require a suitable roof structure.

We may conduct a visual assessment of the roof and installation area. However, unless specifically included in the scope of work, this does not constitute a comprehensive structural engineering assessment.

The customer is responsible for notifying us of known structural defects or previous roof damage.

If additional structural work is reasonably required before installation, we may recommend that the customer obtain advice from an appropriately qualified professional.

Additional work may incur additional costs if it is outside the agreed scope.

        9. Electrical Work and Switchboards
Solar installation may require electrical work to existing infrastructure.

        SA Power Networks
        Ausgrid
        Endeavour Energy
        Other applicable electricity network providers
Ur Local Solar may assist with applicable connection applications and related documentation as part of the agreed service.

Network approval is not controlled solely by Ur Local Solar and may be subject to the requirements, processing times and decisions of the relevant network provider.

We do not guarantee that a particular system size, export capacity or connection configuration will be approved by a network provider.

        11. Government Rebates, STCs and Incentives
Government incentives, rebates, subsidies and Small-scale Technology Certificates (STCs) may be available for eligible solar installations.

Eligibility and rebate values depend on factors including:

        Applicable legislation
Any rebate or incentive shown in a quote is based on the information available at the time the quote is prepared.

Government programs and incentive values can change.

Ur Local Solar does not guarantee that a customer will qualify for a particular government rebate or incentive unless expressly confirmed in writing and subject to the applicable government requirements.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate information required to establish eligibility.

        12. Solar Battery Rebates and Incentives
Battery incentives may be available from federal, state or other programs depending on the customer’s location and eligibility.

Eligibility requirements and incentive amounts may change.

Where applicable, Ur Local Solar may assist customers with information about available incentives.

Customers should not rely solely on an estimated rebate when making a purchase decision.

Any incentive is subject to the rules and approval requirements of the relevant government or program administrator.

        13. Prices and Additional Costs
The price payable for products and services will be stated in the accepted quote or agreement.

Additional costs may arise where circumstances outside the original scope are identified.

        15. Late Payment
Where payment is overdue, Ur Local Solar may take reasonable steps to recover the outstanding amount.

        This may include:

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any consumer guarantee or other right that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian law.

        22. Australian Consumer Law
Our products and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) where the ACL applies.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.

Depending on the circumstances, consumers may have rights relating to:

        Acceptable quality
        Fitness for purpose
        Correspondence with description
Services being provided with due care and skill
Services being reasonably fit for a particular purpose
Services being supplied within a reasonable time where no timeframe has been agreed
For further information about Australian Consumer Law rights, customers can visit the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) website.

        23. Product Manufacturer Warranties
Where a product is covered by a manufacturer warranty, warranty claims may need to be assessed in accordance with the manufacturer’s warranty terms.

Ur Local Solar may assist customers with warranty claims where appropriate.

Manufacturer warranty coverage may depend on:

        Product registration
        Installation requirements
        Product usage
        Maintenance requirements
        Environmental conditions
        Warranty exclusions

Customers must not attempt unauthorised electrical repairs or modifications to solar equipment.

Electrical work should only be undertaken by appropriately licensed professionals.

        26. Cancellation and Cooling-Off Rights
Cancellation rights depend on the circumstances of the transaction, the applicable agreement and Australian Consumer Law.

Where a statutory cooling-off period applies, we will comply with the applicable legal requirements.

If you wish to cancel an order or installation, please contact us as soon as possible.

Cancellation after equipment has been ordered, customised or installation work has commenced may be subject to reasonable costs where permitted by law and the applicable agreement.

We will take reasonable care to minimise damage caused by our work.

Pre-existing conditions are not caused by Ur Local Solar and may require separate repair work.

Nothing in this clause limits rights available to consumers under Australian Consumer Law.

        29. Access to the Property
The customer must ensure that our employees, contractors and authorised representatives can safely access the property at agreed times.

If access is unavailable or unsafe, the installation may need to be rescheduled.

Additional costs caused by repeated unsuccessful attendance may apply where permitted by the customer’s agreement and applicable law.

        30. Photos and Installation Records
We may take photographs of installation work for purposes such as:
